"Littermate Syndrome" is an umbrella term for the variety of behavioral problems that may arise from raising two littermates, or even similarly aged puppies, together. This can be everything from a lack of bonding with people, reluctance to learn commands, separation anxiety, aggression, or resource-guarding. Some professionals do not like to use the term "Littermate Syndrome" as the problem behaviors may have several causes, but raising two like-age puppies is a contributor. Pet Pack Rescue wants to set our puppies and adopters up for success and prefers not to take the risk of adopting litter mates together.
