Weekly Paws (April 4th, 2025)

We’re thrilled to share milestones with our community! This year, we've celebrated over 75 adoptions—a testament to the love and commitment of our supporters. Our Barktion online auction was a roaring success, bringing in over $2,000 in profit, surpassing our goal of $800!

A heartfelt thank you to the 14 incredible volunteers who helped us at the Civic Center; it was our busiest event yet, showcasing the passion of our community. We’re also excited to announce that Darbi has launched a new dog dating page, designed specifically for active dog daters looking to help our furry friends find homes.

Mark your calendars for our Dog-Friendly Easter Egg Hunt on April 12 from 11 AM to 2 PM at Oliver’s North in Peoria. For just $7, you can hunt for 5 eggs, each with a special prize. Don’t miss the chance to snap a picture at our pop-up photo booth with Bob the Bunny—digital images available for a small fee.

In other news, our Paint Your Pet event in Bloomington has sold out, with 85 participants set to join the fun!
